Vegan Pepperoni
Ingredients
- 1 Beetroot
- 4 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Vegetable Stock
- 4 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 1 tbsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tbsp Chili Flakes, or to taste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Liquid Smoke
- 1-2 cups Vital Wheat Gluten
Method
- Combine all ingredients except vital wheat gluten in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Take mixture out of blender and add the vital wheat gluten until combined and the mixture makes a ball.
- Form pepperoni shapes roughly one inch in diameter, length as required by your steaming equipment.
- Steam over a high heat for 30 minutes.
